Where is my Darling?

Trailer
Lanz Priestley owns little more than a phone and a Facebook page. When he learns that taps have run dry in drought-stricken outback towns, he raises the money to deliver drinking water himself. Adam Finney’s documentary follows him.
The plan was built around repetition. Several water deliveries were scheduled across the ten-day shoot, so we could learn the rhythm of each one and have the camera in place before the action rather than chasing it, aiming for the patient stillness of To Be and To Have. Only one delivery happened. We stayed close to Lanz and shot from his side, and the scene became a mix of steady, observed frames and nervous handheld ones as my own anxiety about losing the moment made its way into the camera.
It taught me to control what I could and let go of the rest.
